Qualifications:

• Associate degree required (graduate of an ADA accredited school of dental hygiene).

• Minimum of one year experience in general dental practice.

• Pennsylvania State Registered Dental Hygienist license, Pennsylvania State Public Health Dental Hygiene Practitioner license.

• Current Healthcare Provider CPR/AED certification.

• RDH - 20 hrs. of Continuing Education every 2 years; PHDHP – 5 hrs. of Continuing Education in public health related courses every 2 years; Annual OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens training; Act 31 Mandated Child Abuse Reporter Training – 2 hours from an approved provider.

• Strong ability to build rapport and work with a pediatric population of all ages.

• Computer skills and ability to learn new systems quickly. Familiarity with Dentrix & Dolphin dental software a plus.

• Candidates must demonstrate a high degree of integrity, as all MHS staff are role models for MHS students and HIPAA compliance/confidentiality is essential.

• Candidates should be willing to actively engage with students beyond the scope of their job responsibilities.
